Ripple Afghan Blanket… crochet pattern by Freya Esme Designs

WOW… look at this crocheted blanket… I LOVE it… it is a pattern by Clare at Freya Esme Designs.

I am so happy to say that this is the first crocheted blanket that I have finished — I have started several, but this one kept my attention and got done.

Many months ago, Clare was looking for crochet’ers to stitch up samples of her patterns.  I was lucky enough to be selected and started her pattern right away.  Well, you know how things go sometimes, and I fell behind on my stitching – there was our trip to Spain, then the end of school, and finally dance recitals.  But I did get back to the blanket as soon as I could and just look at the results.

You can see all of Clare’s exclusive crochet designs on EtsyCraftsy, and Ravelry

I am so proud!  I love the yarn!  It is Vicki Howell’s Sheep(ish) yarn in Turquoise(ish), Plum(ish), and White(ish).  It is so soft and so easy to work with!  The colors are so vibrant.  I will use this yarn again and again and again.

The pattern is simple once you get the first few rows stitched.  You get to pick the color scheme – pick as many colors as you want and then repeat each color how many you want.  Such options….

I finished the edges with my own made up stitching to even out the ripple pattern.

This will be a cherished blanket in our house… thank you Clare for the opportunity to show off your pattern.
