I told you I could not stop making these new knit pants from Gracious Threads… here are more Lazy Days Lounge pants for my son and daughter. (see the first ones HERE)
AND today is the last day to get the Lazy Days Lounge Pants pattern at the introductory price at Etsy or Craftsy.
Another pair for my daughter…
And, another pair for my son…
These were made from a blue sweatshirt fleece from Jo-ann’s in a size 12. The pockets are a woven Star Wars fabric, and the cuffs and waistband are a gray ribbing material. I top-stitched in gray thread with some good bar tacks added to the edges of the pockets for extra durability. The cuffs were shortened for the boy’s version – see the difference in the picture of the kids together.
For the waistband elastic, I used corded tie elastic this time. I bought a large roll on Amazon last month to use for PJ pants. It worked perfect for the boys pants too and gave some extra growing room. I think next time I will try dyeing the corded ties so its not just plain white.
He likes wearing his comfy pants… especially the soft stretchy waistband.
Obviously my daughter loves her lounger pants and loves modeling them.
I made these from Jo-ann’s Doodles Fabric in size 6. I followed the pattern exactly using grommets and made a tie from the knit fabric. And with the scrap pieces I fashioned a quick headband by sewing a tube, turning it right side out and then sewing the ends together.
The pink sparkle shoes were her addition to the photo shoot.
The kids were happy to model for me… and I am happy to have added to their wardrobe for cooler weather.
And I am not done yet. My niece and nephew should receive their package of Lazy Days Lounge Pants later today, so more pictures next week.
