It’s a perfect sized bag ready for fall here in the Pacific Northwest!
Lisa at Around The Bobbin has designed a nice size bag good for on-the-go ladies. It has all kinds of pockets and zippers and credit card holders packed into a carry all on swivel clips. You can wear it as a cross-body bag or take the strap off and attach it to belt loops, or a stroller, or another bag.
This is my first real-true sophisticated bag – meaning more than a rectangle sack with handles. This one has hardware! it has zippered pockets, magnetic snaps, swivel hooks and rings, AND a slider (that means the strap is adjustable)… I am so happy with this bag!
For the pattern testing, I pulled out Joel Dewberry Home Décor fabrics and a coordinating print from my scrap drawer. I was inspired by the leaves turning the gorgeous Autumn colors. I used orange zippers and orange top-stitching, and brushed bronze hardware.
Tonight was my son’s 4th Grade Boy’s Book Club. I loaded up my new bag with the book, a notepad, pens, and of course my phone, keys, chapstick, etc., carried it around my neck and across my shoulder. I had pulled my tall boots out of the back of the closet and dusted them off for tonight’s ready-for-fall ensemble. I could tell my son was proud of his Mom with my stylish new bag by the way he said “new bag? you made that.” (at least that’s the way I heard it)
The Zip & Clip Bag releases TODAY… and is discounted $2 using code ZIPCLIP2 for the next week.
And Lisa offers hardware kits for the bag too – I really, really suggest you take advantage of this kit. The kit has all you need in it, and it so much simpler than trying to find the right hardware pieces online or in your local stores.
The PDF pattern is delivered to you directly when purchased at the Around the Bobbin store. The pattern contains full color photographs, detailed step-by-step instructions, labels, and a template to make the bag. Lisa includes all the details and clear pictures to help you build your bag.
Check out the other patterns too… I tested the Flared Top Baskets HERE… these would make perfect holiday decorations and gifts! Imagine the great fabric prints out there on these baskets!
