Are Christmas pajamas on your to-do list?
I know how you can get these stitched up & on your kids way ahead of Christmas… get the Sleepover Pajamas Project Kit from Whimsical Fabrics. It’s all you need for making up a set of Oliver+S Sleepover Pajamas in holiday fabrics for this seasons’ bedtimes.
I stitched up the Santa’s Workshop Project Kit for my 5 year old.
This is view B with the ruffled neck line and cuffs.
Whimsical Fabrics put together this kit that includes Riley Blake flannel fabric for the main pieces and a coordinating fabric for the accent pieces, fusible interfacing for the collar and button placket, 5 buttons, elastic for the waist band, and the PDF pattern. All I had to wash up the fabric, grab matching thread, and stitch it up. While I enjoy planning my projects, I have to say, it was nice to simply receive all I needed in one package delivered to the door.
Let me also brag on the Riley Blake flannel fabric… this was my first time sewing with their flannel. It is very luxurious! very soft and comfortable! the colors were amazingly beautiful! and after each wash of the pj’s, I think they get softer. I want more.
This was also my first Oliver+S pattern. I have 3 other patterns from them, but unfortunately, they are not sewn yet. Their patterns were recommended to me by several admired seamstresses as a good teaching tool for developing quality sewing skills. So, I plan to work up their patterns as lessons for myself. It’s a 2015 Goal.
The Sleepover Pajamas pattern is clearing written with graphics to show the steps. It was not difficult to cut or sew. And I did feel like I advanced my skills to produce a quality garment. I know my girl will be wearing these until warmer weather next spring (even in the Christmas print), and since the pants cuff, she might be wearing these next year’s holidays too.
In addition to getting the project kit ready to start, you can join the Sew Along at Whimsical Fabrics so you have friends to share to sew with. The Sew Along starts Wednesday December 10th
