More winter pajamas for my girly… these are the Ruffled PJ’s pattern by Once Upon a Sewing Machine. I am happy to be on Day 2 of their blog tour.
We picked up the Cinderella flannel fabric as a remnant awhile back without a plan – but I knew it was perfect for pajamas some day. I matched it with the pink gingham flannel from my fabric stash and had just enough for the size 6. I used a plain white broadcloth for the top lining.
I included the optional front center ruffle and added ruffles to the sleeves since my girly and I LOVE ruffles. The ruffles are a single layer of fabric instead of doubled. The edges of the ruffles are done in a rolled hem, as is the bottom of the top. I also lengthened the top by 2″ since she is long.
Another adjustment I made was to tape the front and back pants leg pattern pieces together and cut 2 mirror images of pink gingham flannel. This eliminated the side seams.
The PDF pattern is well-written with photos to illustrate the steps. It comes in sizes 12m to 6. I found it to be a quick & simple sew.
You can get your Ruffled PJ’s pattern for only $5 this week on etsy HERE.
And be sure to see all the PJ’s on the blog tour below… be nice to the bloggers and leave them a comment too.
