Domi Sweatpants ready for Football Season

{Domi Sweatpants Pattern by Sofilantjes}

Perfectly matched with his Seattle Seahawks shirt, these sweatpants are ready for the return of football season.  (yes, I know summer just started, but look how far ahead I am now)  The pants are made from Sofilantjes newest pattern the Domi Sweatpants. Domi is ‘home’ in Dutch, which perfectly describes the easy & comfy wear of these pants.  When Autumn returns, so will football season when my boy will be found lounging around the TV.  The Domi sweatpants are made for Football Sundays.  And pictured here with his Seattle Seahawks shirt, he is ready for kickoff.

Climbing Pantaloons for Spring

It’s Spring time here in the Pacific Northwest, and that means cool mornings, warmer afternoons, and then cool nights – the capri length Tree Climbing Pantaloons in a small corduroy fabric are good for this season’s weather.  My girl can wear the shorter pants with long sleeve shirts or even layers so that she can be ready for play anytime.  She thinks the pants with their elastic waist and elastic cuffs are comfy.  I think these pants are easy to sew up.  And as the name suggests, these pants are ready for climbing, as she shows us on the school stairs.

A Stripe-ity Top for a Tween

This is another knit top made for my 12 year old niece.  She suggested stripes and a bright color like purple.  Using Sofilantjes newest pattern, The Otium Top for girls (12m-size 14), this is the result…..

It’s a Wrap Dress from Sofilantjes!

One of my favorite pattern designers is Annemieke of Sofilantjes Patterns… I was a lucky tester of her latest pattern, the Iridis Wrap Dress for girls size 12m to 14. AND ready for this? you can stitch it up in knit fabric OR woven fabric according to the pattern, or a mix of knit AND woven fabrics as many testers did.

Look at the results on my beautiful niece!

A Zip & Clip Bag for Fall

It’s a perfect sized bag ready for fall here in the Pacific Northwest!

Lisa at Around The Bobbin has designed a nice size bag good for on-the-go ladies.  It has all kinds of pockets and zippers and credit card holders packed into a carry all on swivel clips.  You can wear it as a cross-body bag or take the strap off and attach it to belt loops, or a stroller, or another bag.

This is my first real-true sophisticated bag – meaning more than a rectangle sack with handles.  This one has hardware!  it has zippered pockets, magnetic snaps, swivel hooks and rings, AND a slider (that means the strap is adjustable)… I am so happy with this bag!

For the pattern testing, I pulled out Joel Dewberry Home Décor fabrics and a coordinating print from my scrap drawer.  I was inspired by the leaves turning the gorgeous Autumn colors.  I used orange zippers and orange top-stitching, and brushed bronze hardware.

Tonight was my son’s 4th Grade Boy’s Book Club.  I loaded up my new bag with the book, a notepad, pens, and of course my phone, keys, chapstick, etc., carried it around my neck and across my shoulder.  I had pulled my tall boots out of the back of the closet and dusted them off for tonight’s ready-for-fall ensemble.  I could tell my son was proud of his Mom with my stylish new bag by the way he said “new bag? you made that.”  (at least that’s the way I heard it)

The Zip & Clip Bag releases TODAY… and is discounted $2 using code ZIPCLIP2 for the next week.

And Lisa offers hardware kits for the bag too – I really, really suggest you take advantage of this kit.  The kit has all you need in it, and it so much simpler than trying to find the right hardware pieces online or in your local stores.

The PDF pattern is delivered to you directly when purchased at the Around the Bobbin store.  The pattern contains full color photographs, detailed step-by-step instructions, labels, and a template to make the bag.  Lisa includes all the details and clear pictures to help you build your bag.

Check out the other patterns too… I tested the Flared Top Baskets HERE… these would make perfect holiday decorations and gifts!  Imagine the great fabric prints out there on these baskets!
